2003-11-18 - 9:23 p.m. I made a strange cake yesterday. I got it out of a cookbook I bought in Minocqua this summer. The recipe is called Wacky Cake. Boy, is it moist! No eggs, no oil. It's just awesome and I had all the ingredients in my pantry. You gotta try it because it's better than I expected! Wacky Cake 1 1/2 C. Flour 1 C. Sugar 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 5 Tbsp. melted butter 1 Tbsp. vinegar 1 C. cold water Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and soda together. Add vanilla, melted butter, and vinegar. Over all this, pour water. Mix well. Bake in a 9X9" ungreased pan for 35 minutes at 350*. It's simple, wacky, and really good. I was skeptical about the vinegar part, but this is a damn good cake. See for yourself. Happy Baking!
